Since this is my first time ever going to New York Fashion Week, I don't really know what to expect. I do know, there will be a lot of walking, a lot of schmoozing and a lot of fashion! It's a time for me to really play around with my fashion statement and wear things I wouldn't normally wear in Seattle. This is also making it kind of stressful as I feel like I have NO TIME TO SHOP (first world problems, I know). But, I will share the 5 trends I'll be sure to show up in at NYFW come this weekend!
Plaid // You can't round the corner in a store without seeing a plaid jacket, shirt or pant. It's giving me all the Clueless vibes and I love it! There is a large selection of plaid for a deal from Who What Wear for Target!
Bold colors // Think bright red, emerald green, mustard yellow and lots of color blocking. It's the easiest way to make a statement and can be styled up or down depending on the occassion.
White shoes // It's a risky choice for someone like me who lives in a rainy climate. But sometimes, fashion is more important than practicality!
Belt bags // The fannie pack made a come-back a while back and I was so not about it, but these belt bags are essentially the same thing, but in a much more chic design!
Kimonos & Dusters // It's no surprise this trend is making the list as I have an affinity for kimono's. I have found so many lately that I can't live without, and I just love how versatile they are.
