seattle fashion.

Last week, I was lucky to attend the movie viewing of the 1990's documentary "Unzipped" at Pacific Place AMC Theatre, which followed the ins and outs of fashion mogul Issac Mizrahi as he prepared for a new collection to debut on the runway. It was an event that brought together local Seattle influencers in Fashion as well as locals who wanted to enjoy the movie, drink some wine and eat popcorn to their heart's content. It was also an ode to 90's fashion that has clearly made a revival in fashion scene recently.

As one of the featured bloggers/stylists at the event, we were each given the task of styling an outfit from a store in the mall. Mine was J.Crew which I was very excited about because you can always find some type of sequins there {and what girl doesn't love a bit of sparkle}. I styled this ADORABLE sequin pencil skirt with an off-the-shoulder sweatshirt. I love the combo of fancy and casual, not to mention this sweatshirt was such a yummy material I didn't want to take it off! I topped it off with one of the biggest trends of the season, a neckerchief {which can also be worn in your hair, tied around your handbag or wrist}.

gotta love an off-the-shoulder top

One of my favorite things about being a blogger is attending these kinds of events where I can mingle with like-minded fashion aficionados.  I think a lot of people in the Pacific Northwest are afraid to show off their style because let's be honest, most people around here simply don't care, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't wear what you want when you want to! And big shout out to Gossip & Glamour  and Styled Seattle for helping coordinate this event.
