san diego

Last week Wes, Tayler and I spent a long weekend in San Diego. I grew up going there since my grandparents lived there, but Wes had never been so I was excited to show him around. It had been at least 15 years since I had really spent time there so it was fun to see how it's changed.

One of my favorite childhood memories was going to San Diego Zoo, so we just had to take Tay there. But let's be honest, it was more for us than her, she's not even going to remember! We hit up the cute neighborhoods like University Heights, Mission Beach, La Jolla, Del Mar {one of the best beaches}, Ocean Beach and Hillcrest. We pretty much ate and drank our way through town {diet starts now} and Tay was such a trooper keeping up with us and napped along the way. It was so nice to get away as a family and enjoy some much-needed sunshine! If you haven't been, you must go, it's by far one of my favorite places in the country to visit and the sun is always shining!

Here were some of my favorite spots we visited // Crushed for the cutest mimosa flights you've ever seen; Communal Coffee for the most Instagram worthy coffee + flower shop; Red House Pizza, amazing GF pizza and pasta and the best service; Cody's for the best cocktails and brunch; Oscars for the most epic fish tacos; OB Brewing for beers or wine on the rooftop deck and great food; Two Seven Eight for amazing dinner and happy hour on the deck.
