goodbye, 2017.

Well, it's another year over. Some are probably happy about that, considering it was a bit of a rough year emotionally for our country, but, I try not to dwell on the negative or the past, so it's onto a bigger & better year. Bring it on, 2018!

2017 was a great year for me as a Mother, Wife, and Business Woman. Here were some of the highlights:

  1. Wes and I took a trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico without Tayler. This was the longest we had been away from her, but it was so good for us to get away for a week and focus on our relationship. Becuase after all, that is the most important one if you want to raise a happy family. To read more about your trip, see my blog post, tropical getaway.
  2. I launched Styled Out West in April and haven't looked back since...what a fun journey this has been for me. {Thanks for following along!}  I also started working as a Stylist for Styled Seattle (in addition, to my own styling business), and what an amazing business accomplishment this was for me! If you want to know about my styling services, just click the 'personal styling' tab above. I was also accepted into the Reward Style team {Liketoknow.it} where you can instantly shop my looks by following me in the app or clicking here
  3. We took a little family trip to San Diego with Tayler and took her to the zoo, beach, and of course, the best taco stand in town! Wes had never been to San Diego and since I grew up going there {my grandpa lived there my entire life} I wanted to have him experience one of my favorite cities ever!
  4. Tayler turned ONE in June and we threw a huge party at our house and my Dad flew out from the East Coast to celebrate. It was a unicorn theme and watching her eat her first bit of sweets {cake} was probably one of the cutest things ever.
  5. Wes and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary {and 13 years of being together} and we splurged on a seaplane ride from Seattle to the San Juans, which was a bucket list item for us. I'm not quite sure how we'll top it in 2018!
  6. In September, we did a big group trip with friends to Lake Tahoe to celebrate two of our dearest friends nuptials. It actually snowed while we were there, which was such a fun and beautiful place to be during a snowfall!
  7. Around Halloween, Tayler started walking and has kept us on our toes ever since! She's basically running now and loves going to the park and kicking the soccer ball.
  8. The holidays were very low-key as Wes was recovering from shoulder surgery. All is good with him and he's recovering nicely. He can't wait until he can finally pick up Tayler again and finally start doing the things he was missing out on, like skiing and playing sports.

We had so many great memories and I can't wait to see what 2018 brings! Stay tuned for my next post, where I share all my {what I'm calling intentions} for the year ahead!

Happy New Year!
