tayler lou

I shared this post a while back, but because we have so many new followers, I wanted to share it again! Tayler is now almost 10 months {trying not to cry at how fast it's gone} and these family photos were taken just 6 weeks after she was born! I also have a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT...I am in the process of rebranding {new website name to be revealed soon} and I will be focusing more on style, being a Mom, and everything in between. You can now expect a new post 2-3 times a week, so make sure to hit the subscribe button in the right top sidebar to get updates when I post. In the meantime, here is a little more about me, and my journey with being a new Mom.

On June 11th, I gave birth to a sweet baby girl named Tayler Lou {primarily known as Tay}. Being a Mom has far surpassed my expectations. Until you have experienced it, it's easy to assume how you will be as a parent or how it will feel. But you can't truly appreciate the emotions until the very first time that little human is put in your arms. The love, happiness, and bond you feel with your partner is one of the most incredible feelings in the world. For me, the best part about being a parent is that it's exactly how I always imagined it being, if not better. It's the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and my husband, Wes and we honestly feel as if Tayler has been a part of our life all along.

I recently made the decision to stay home with her after many weeks of pondering whether or not the money and stress of my job was worth missing all of her firsts. It was an easier decision than I had anticipated because not only does it give me the opportunity to be with her every day, but it was also a chance to be my own boss for the first time ever. Before having Tay, I worked for a major corporation in the fashion industry. I loved my job, but it was very demanding and at times stressful. It was also frustrating because I lacked time to work on side projects that I enjoyed so much, such as blogging and being a  Stella & Dot Stylist. But I now have the chance to explore my true passions and I am giddy with joy about the possibilities that the future holds.

Thanks for following along. I can't wait to share more with you!
